Well I did quite a bit of research to determine what you were referring to as the video link is cut off at the end and I had to do some guesswork to figure it out.

The video you linked is one of 'Trichiniasis'. Without getting too gruesome essentially what happens is that wild game and sometimes pigs will contract a type of roundworm parasite. This is then transfered to other animals via ingestion. It doesn't happen often in developed countries because the process of cooking meat would burn off the larva. The ingested larva then enters the the body through the digestive tract and spreads throughout although it can only survive in certain types of muscle.

This can be guaranteed to be avoided by:

Cooking meat products to an internal temperature of 165 °F

The ointment put on their faces is:

I have no idea, it was mentioned it might've been rubbing alcohol although I believe it was a chemical a little bit more specific to the situation

Likelyhood of anyone having this problem:

Little to none if you've got internet access. The US has an average of 300 cases a year and most are likely to undercooked meat obtained through hunting or through personally owned animals (like a farm).
Reply:Yeah, I've seen that video a few months ago..and I cook my pork very well done now..but yes, it's very rare I've heard too..
