Hi, can you tell me a natural remedy or aid for eczema, or severe dry skin conditions?

My son had eczema REALLY bad and it turned out that it was due to an allergy. We went to a doctor that does NAET (Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique) and his symptoms went away. He also had symptoms of Autism.... they are gone too. There is a book called Say Goodbye to Illness by Dr. Devi Nambudripad. Worth every penny.... you can also check the Library.

they say best for dry skin is crisco shortening, or any brand- the least expensive-- will do
Reply:I have eczema, and it worsened when I moved from humid Louisiana to dry Colorado - the skin on my fingers were literally cracking. What I did was I used Mary Kay's Extra Emollient Night Cream (a very thick oily cream) whenever I would start to feel dry....good for dry patches, as well. It is relief. Also good to use are oils (baby oil or olive oil, etc.) b/c they will stop the itch if you've got it really bad. If you don't have any of those, you could even use petroleum jelly - especially when you are going to sleep at night, put it on your hands, for instance, and you can put some light cotton gloves over them and just sleep like that. When you wake up, your hands should feel great. Just some ideas for you.
Reply:A concentrated brew of stevia (an herb that is 30 times sweeter than sugar with no calories, and has great healing properties) leaves in water simmered down into a syrup helps. Also, I'll put a link to where you can buy a tonic to help with it. (It's a good brand... used other products and they work)
