most skateboarding is done on places were the skateboarders tresspass school steps ect... also most talk back and are rude and have no respect for authority.

are these youth just a horrible part of society or am I wrong on this one?

You are right all skateboarders are spotty, rude trespassers.
Reply:Ever notice that skateboarding is illegal almost everywhere, but skateboarding is better than peddling drugs? So where is a skater supposed to skate when every urban and suburban playground puts up signs? No wonder they talk back and are rude! No wonder they have no respect! What a great part of society, the 6%ers!
Reply:You're wrong. I like to see these boys out skateboarding. At least they're out being active and getting exercise and not sitting in all day playing video games and watching t.v. I've never had a problem with any of them. As long as they don't try to run into me on their boards, that's fine. People ride bikes or roller blade on public streets, too, and nobody says anything about it.

And their looks have nothing to do with it either as far as I'm concerned. And you never see fat skateboarders. I wonder why that is. Possibly because they're out getting some exercise.
Reply:Damn disgrace. Why aren't they out joyriding or mugging old folk! At the very least some good old-fashioned harmless thieving!
Reply:My community has a skateboard park and it's enjoyed by all ages. Mostly teens and they are a nice group of kids, I really like to watch them. I perceive them as young people spending time together and enjoying themselves.

I'm sure that there are few who misbehave, but perhaps you need to step back and look at the situation from their perspective. Teens want your respect. It's hard to be lumped into a group and labeled "bad".

best of luck to you!
